Who is Haze ?
Hasmon Abraham II aka Haze Amaze is a Christian, family man, percussionist, mentor, social influencer, content creator, & entrepreneur. Playing drums was only a hobby to him as a kid but in his high school years, he decided to make playing drums his career. He studied music theory in a performing arts program at Suitland High School in Maryland for 4 years. There he also was head percussionist for the school’s jazz & concert band. After high school, he was accepted into Bowie State University but decided to pursue a career as a full time musician instead. That decision would pay off sooner than he thought as he joined a local band which soon after, led to his first national gig. Haze has since then been afforded the blessings of performing consistently with Hip Hop legend Nas, Grammy nominated R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn, and many more national artists such as Leela James, Kevin Ross, Tweet & more. The highlight of Haze’s career thus far has been playing drums at the Caesars Superdome (New Orleans Saints football stadium) for the 2022 Essence Festival with Nas that was also live streamed on Hulu. Amongst that he’s toured playing crowds of 20,000+ through Europe & the U.S, has over 5 million views combined on videos across his social platforms, over 100k Instagram followers, has taught drum clinics, and is a mentor. These successes, along with others, have helped to shape his career in a tremendous way. As a drum enthusiast Haze is always studying and perfecting his craft. In August 2021 Haze started his own business, Haze Amaze LLC, which provides services in live performance & studio drumming, teaching, consultations, drum teching, and mixing. With an exciting journey ahead, Haze is creating his legacy of integrity and passion for doing what he loves each and every day, both on and off the stage.
